Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup

Directions

Sauté Vegetables
  1. In a large soup pot over medium-high heat, add olive oil and butter, then sauté celery, carrots, and onion for 5-7 minutes until softened.
Add Garlic & Flour
  1. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, then add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring.
Build Broth
  1. Gradually pour in chicken brother, stirring to dissolve the flour.
Add Chicken & Season
  1. Add chicken breasts, Italian seasoning, and heavy cream, increase heat and bring to a simmer with lid slightly open.
Simmer
  1. Reduce heat to maintain a gentle simmer. Cook for 10 minutes.
Add Noodles
  1. Stir in egg noodles, cover partially, and simmer for another 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway so noodles don't stick.
Finish Chicken
  1. Remove chicken, cut or shred into bite-sized pieces, then return to pot. Season with salt, pepper, and stir in parsley.
Serve
  1. Serve hot and creamy with extra herbs or crusty bread, if desired.
  2. Enjoy!
